My first custom Drupal module extending CKEditor, vibe-coded with Claude Code on the DrupalCon Chicago conference floor - a toolbar button that inserts the current timestamp, plus the agent skill that knows how to build CKEditor 5 plugins as Drupal modules.
Released: Wed Apr 01 2026
What's inside
A working Drupal module (Drupal 10.1+/11) that adds a CKEditor 5 toolbar button inserting the current timestamp at the cursor - small on purpose, because the module is the demo, not the point. The point is the agent skill bundled with it: a reusable instruction set that teaches an AI coding agent how CKEditor 5 plugins become Drupal modules, so the next plugin does not start from a blank page.
Why it exists
Built live at DrupalCon Chicago 2026 as an experiment: can you vibe-code your first custom Drupal module between sessions? The whole story, including what worked and what fought back, is in the write-up.
