In this lightning talk delivered at The AI Conference 2025, I address the growing friction and security risks caused by the "Bring Your Own AI" (BYOAI) trend, where 78% of workers use external AI tools to generate content. I highlight how copying and pasting from external chatbots breaks formatting (tables, lists) and introduces compliance vulnerabilities for enterprises.
CKEditor AI is designed to solve these, a new suite of capabilities integrated directly into the rich text editor. Unlike external tools, CKEditor AI is aware of the document model, meaning it preserves complex formatting during generation and editing. The talk outlines three core components of the solution:
- AI Chat: A context-aware assistant capable of drafting content (e.g., support ticket replies) directly in the editor.
- Quick Actions: Pre-configured commands for repetitive tasks like translation, summarization, or tone adjustment.
